Blizzard’s card battler still managed to be released on Android tablets before the end of 2014, although there were fears that this would not happen.
The game was released on PC, Mac and iPad earlier this year.
Mike Morheim, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment, said that he was “pleased to welcome Android users to the Hearthstone community,” and also announced that the game will appear on other mobile platforms in the near future.
To mark the event, Blizzard will give a free set of cards to all users launching the game on their Android device for the first time.
Recall that the game is Blizzard’s triple debut: the first card title, the first F2P project, the first release for mobile devices.
